Thanks for writing this.
It’s been a rough year for bss, and I didn’t know most of it. I hope things get better for him — bad stretches happen, but they do end.
That’s the end of it. We’re not turning this into more threads, more theories, more drama. He’s not a mod anymore, he’s not banned, and the accounts are restored.
To everyone affected — check your email for the confirmation link I sent, and you’ll be back in.
I try to be a relaxed admin and give people room. All I want from this place is that it’s somewhere people actually enjoy being. A community is made of the people in it — that’s you. So be decent to each other.
Don’t hold grudges over this. It won’t do anyone any good. Let’s move on.

I understand you’ve been going through a really hard time, and I’m not ignoring that
But I also have to think about the community. What happened wasn’t a small mistake — seven people who hadn’t done anything to you lost their accounts, and you used permissions you’d been trusted with.
So I can’t restore your trust level right now. This isn’t punishment, and it isn’t about you proving yourself to me. It’s just that some time needs to pass — for those seven people as much as anything.
You’re not banned and you’re not being pushed out. You’re welcome here. And this isn’t permanent — we can talk about it again in a while.
