AUS: we are making a social media ban
Me: uh…ok. Good luck

YOUR FINAL WARNING
Dear WORLD,
Not just the government.
All of you. All 9 billion of you.
The parents. The voters. The CEOs. The teachers. The adults who scroll past, shake their heads, and say, “Kids these days.” Satin (all forms and religons),Kim Jong un (yes, NK), Donald Tump (“tump”), Elon Musk. most importantly, you.
You’ve been warned.
We tried being polite.
Tried explaining.
Tried handing you the truth in 60-second clips and comment threads and typed-out rants at midnight.
You ignored us. Or worse — laughed.
So this is it.
Your final warning.
We are not the “lazy generation.”
We are the ones raised in chaos and told to stay calm.
You gave us fire, floods, lockdowns, lockdown drills, cost of living crises, and collapse — and then acted surprised when we started yelling into a screen.
You complain we’re always online?
Then maybe show us a world worth being present in.
You mock us for posting memes while the world burns —
but who lit the match?
You did.
And now you want to ban the last place we get to speak freely?
Because you’re uncomfortable?
Tough.
Because guess what —
We’re not just users.
We’re the next writers, leaders, voters, coders, builders, creators.
And we don’t forget.
We see how you treat us.
We see how you talk about us.
And we see what you’re afraid of:
Our voices.
Our reach.
Our anger — because it’s justified.
Our joy — because it’s radical.
Our unity — because it’s powerful.
You can ban the apps.
But you can’t ban the generation that refuses to stay quiet.
So here’s the warning:
Keep ignoring us, and we’ll build platforms you can’t touch.
Keep silencing us, and we’ll speak louder than you can imagine.
Keep underestimating us, and we’ll inherit everything — and change all of it.
The future isn’t waiting.
We’re already in it.
Sincerely,
The Generation You Keep Trying (and Failing) to Silence
