I’ve been thinking about how we can help new users (and maybe even older ones) feel more confident here, and I wanted to share a few tips that I’ve learned from my time in the community:

If you see someone post their first idea or reply, say something encouraging! Even a simple welcome can mean a lot.

If you notice a user asking any question, try replying even if you’re unsure that it is the right one. Just showing that you’re trying makes the community feel alive.

When you upvote or like a post, leave a comment saying why you liked it. That extra feedback helps people grow.

If you ever feel like you aren’t doing enough, even just being kind and welcoming can be much more than enough. Just try to welcome new users as they join, and try not to break any rules.
